Location
This project is located at the intersection of Robinson Road and Airport Road on the east side of Nampa.

Description
The intersection is currently a two-way stop-controlled configuration. East and west traffic on Airport Road is stopped controlled while the north and south traffic is free flow on Robinson. The project will reconfigure the intersection into a roundabout.

Need for Project
This intersection is currently configured as a two-way stop-controlled. A roundabout in this location is expected to improve safety and mobility for both the Robinson Rd. and Airport Rd. corridors. The project will fit the context of a roundabout corridor for Robinson Rd/Star Rd. This corridor currently has roundabouts constructed at Robinson & Amity, Robinson & Victory, construction started at Star & Cherry and one planned at the intersection of Robinson & Locust.

The process and schedule for the project are currently as follows:
– Design Consultant Selection – September 2020 (Parametrix Engineering)
– Public Meeting – March 16, 2021 at NHD Office
– Concept Report – Spring 2021
– Preliminary Design – Fall 2021
– Purchase of Right-of-Way –2022
– Final Design – Fall 2022
– Public Meeting – Spring 2023
– Construction – Spring/Summer 2023 (six month duration)
– Bridge Work December 2022
– Full Closure February 2023
– Project completed May 2023
