Current Projects

The Nampa Highway District has several construction projects ongoing or planned for near future. Below is the status of each. For a longer-range list of projects, please see the Five Work Plan, by clicking the “Future Planning” tab at left.

ROADWAY PROJECTS

Hill Rd. and Warren Spur Rd, Ferry Rd. to Sinker Rd. (2.21 miles)

Description: The road will be pulverized, re-shaped and compacted, then resurfaced with new asphalt pavement.

Restrictions:
Hill Rd. and Warren Spur Rd will be closed to all but local traffic needing to reach properties along the project site.   All through traffic will be detoured around to Butte Rd. and Canyon Rd.

Schedule: January 2018.



Lola Ln., Southside Blvd. to Happy Valley Rd (1.0 miles)

Description: The road will be pulverized, re-shaped and compacted, then resurfaced with new asphalt pavement. 

Restrictions:
 Lola Ln. will be closed to all but local traffic needing to reach properties along the project site.   East-West through traffic will be detoured around to Bowmont Rd.

Schedule: February 2018.


Track Rd., Stage Coach Rd. to Kuna Rd. (3.01 miles)

Description: The road will be pulverized, re-shaped and compacted, then resurfaced with new asphalt pavement. 

Restrictions:
 Track Rd. will be closed to all but local traffic needing to reach properties along the project site.  North-South through traffic will be detoured around to Southside Blvd.

Schedule: March through May of 2018.


Powerline Rd., Bowmont Rd. to Bennett Rd. (1.02 miles)

Description: The road will be pulverized, re-shaped and compacted, then resurfaced with new asphalt pavement. 

Restrictions:
 Powerline Rd will be closed to all but local traffic needing to reach properties along the project site.   North-South through traffic will be detoured around to Track Rd.

Schedule: May 2018.


11th Ave. North, Nampa City Limits to Ustick Rd. (0.43 miles)

Description: The road will be pulverized, re-shaped and compacted, then resurfaced with new asphalt pavement. 


Restrictions:
 11th Ave. North will be closed to all but local traffic needing to reach properties along the project site.   North-South through traffic will be detoured around to Can Ada Rd.

Schedule: June 2018.


Seal Coating (41.02 miles)


Description: For a description of the seal coat process, please see the “Letter to the Editor” posted below.  For a list of the roads to be seal coated this year, please see the “Seal Coat List” posted below. 


Restrictions: Traffic will be temporarily stopped by flaggers while the seal coat is being applied, and will then be allowed to proceed at a reduced speed on the newly seal coated surface. 

Schedule: Summer of 2018

BRIDGE PROJECTS


Sunnyridge Rd. Culvert Replacements


Description: This project replaces two culvert crossings under Sunnyridge Rd. The first project will replace the N. Robinson lateral irrigation culvert under Sunnyridge Rd., between Ruth Ln. and Locust Ln. The second project will replace the S. Robinson lateral irrigation culvert under Sunnyridge Rd. between Lewis Ln. and Ruth Ln. This work is in preparation for a larger project to rebuild and repave Sunnyridge Rd. later in 2019. 

Restrictions: Sunnyridge Rd will first be closed between Ruth Ln. and Locust Ln.  North-South through traffic will be detoured around to Powerline Rd.  Once the N. Robinson crossing is complete then Sunnyridge will be closed between Lewis Ln. and Ruth Ln. to begin work on the S. Robinson crossing. North-South through traffic will continue to be detoured around to Powerline Rd. Local traffic will be able to be access all properties, but will not be able to cross the irrigation ditches where the work is being performed.

Lola Ln. Culvert Replacements


Description: This project replaces two culvert crossings under Lola Ln. between Southside Blvd. and Happy Valley Rd. The first project will replace the Willard lateral irrigation culvert and the second project will replace the Garland Drain irrigation culvert. This work is in preparation for a larger project to rebuild and repave Lola Ln. in March of 2018. 

Restrictions: Lola Ln. will be closed to all but local traffic needing to reach properties along the project site. Local traffic will be able to be access all properties, but will not be able to cross the irrigation ditches where the work is being performed. 

Schedule:  Completed


Laster Ln. Culvert Replacements


Description: This project replaces two culvert crossings under Laster Ln. between Caldwell City Limits to the end of the roadway (west of I-84). The first project will replace the Indian Creek culvert and the second project will replace the Caldwell Highline Canal irrigation culvert. This work is to replace the existing failing culverts.

Restrictions: Laster Ln. will be closed to all traffic. Any traffic needing to reach properties along this project site will have access from Middleton Rd. per agreement between the Nampa Highway District and the property owners.

Schedule:  December 12, 2017 through January 10, 2018



 Powerline Rd. Culvert Replacements


Description: Replaces the Sol Lateral irrigation culvert under Powerline Rd., between McElroy Rd. and Melmont Rd.  This work is in preparation for a larger project to rebuild and repave Powerline Rd. later in 2019.

Restrictions: Powerline Rd. will be closed between McElroy Rd. and Melmont Rd.  North-south through traffic will be detoured around to Track Rd.  Local traffic will be able to be access all properties, but will not be able to cross the irrigation ditches where the work is being performed.

Schedule: Late November through December 2017
